FoodNotes standards
Editorial policy
FoodNotes publishes practical food content designed to be useful, clear, and honest about how it was made.
Our editorial team
The FoodNotes Editorial Team is the accountable publisher for site content. We do not claim first-hand testing, professional credentials, or personal experience unless an article clearly identifies and verifies them.
AI-assisted publishing
Some articles use OpenAI tools for drafting and image creation. Automation must pass our formatting, duplication, source, image, internal-link, scheduling, and budget checks before publication. AI assistance does not make a claim true, so readers should use appropriate judgment for allergies, food safety, nutrition, and medical needs.
Sources, originality, and updates
We prohibit fabricated quotations, citations, statistics, and credentials. Sources attached to sensitive claims must be reviewable. Our system monitors published content and search performance so useful pages can be improved without changing their meaning simply to chase rankings.
Corrections
If something is inaccurate or unclear, email hello@foodnotes.com. We review correction requests and update the article when warranted.
